Pretending to Dance

So this was one of my favourite types of book purchases - walking into Waterstones, looking at the buy one get one half price sections, and just choosing any book I take a fancy to, not worrying about what other people say about the quality or the literary value, this does not always pay off, but I really enjoyed this one.

Pretending to Dance follows Molly, and consists of dual timelines, one of her current life and struggles with her husband, and the other of her childhood, revealing the secrets she holds, and why she chose to lie to her husband. The timelines work perfectly in cohesion with each other, you truly feel as if you are reading a diary from a teenager, and then an adult, this book is definitely one that you can find yourself lost in, you want to continue reading and discover all the secrets, and it's one that's very hard to put down in the evening!

Would I say this has changed my life in any form? No, but at no point have I regretted choosing this one, it is a fun yet exciting read, that doesn't take too much effort, but gives something more than your typical love story.
