Summer Time OOTD

So, you may have noticed that I've not posted in 2 weeks, I was really ill and then I felt like I just needed a bit of an internet break, but now I'm back, with lots of fresh inspiration, and I know exactly what I want to bring to my blog over the next few weeks too!

I'm off to Puerto Banus at the end of the week, so last week I headed into Southampton to get my friend to do my hair, and whilst there I picked up lots of bits for my holiday, and I absolutely love this outfit I put together!

Hat - H&M | £14.99
Top - Primark | £2
Cardigan - Primark | £5
Trousers - Primark | £8
Shoes - Primark | £4
Sunglasses - Mango | £17

As you can see, a lot of this came from Primark, I always buy my cardigans, plain tops and black shoes from Primark as they're so cheap, and amazing quality, and this outfit just goes to show that with one statement piece of clothing you can transform an outfit, and I normally struggle with being in the sun for long periods and this hat solves that issue!

A Weekend in Cardiff

So on Saturday Thomas and I made the journey over to Wales, after getting some Olly Murs tickets last year, but due to a massive courier issue we didn't know if we could actually go to the concert until we got to Cardiff, but luckily we could!

We stayed in the lovely Royal Hotel Cardiff and were welcomed with creme eggs and egg cups in our room! The hotel is right in the centre yet you cannot hear anything from outside!

Olly Murs was incredible, as was Ella Eyre who supported him, it's actually the third time we have seen Olly Murs and if you like him I would 10000% recommend trying to get tickets to a concert!

As we knew we were going, I could hardly take Tom to Cardiff and not get him tickets to the Doctor Who Experience, this was so good, and it's a must if you are a fan, at just £17ish each it is really purse friendly, and is just a fun activity!

The weather was lovely, so after Doctor Who we had a walk along the bay and visited the few shops that were open, had a browse amongst the craft market stalls, and then had a lovely dinner sat outside Zizzi's and there was even a singer below which finished it off perfectly!

We then finished off the day with a game of bowling -  we're just not going to talk about who won! And then Tom finally gave in and took me to see Cinderella!

We'd never been to Cardiff before and both of us want to go back already, it is a really lovely place, and although we didn't have much time for shopping on this occasion, we did have a quick wonder and I can definitely see why it's ranked 5th best shopping destination in the UK!

I hope you've enjoyed this post as it mixes it up a bit!

Sample Saturday | Estee Lauder - Le Smoking

The other week I had to pop into Debenhams to pick up a foundation for a friend, and the lovely lady on Estee Lauder gave me a couple of freebies for myself!

This miniature Nail Varnish is just adorable, and in the bottle the colour looks like a deep red, suited to the name of Le Smoking, however when on the nails it is definitely more of a red toned pink! I probably applied this at exactly the wrong time just before my work experience and both my standard job, both which completely destroy nail varnish, but saying that, with two layers and no top coat, it has lasted really well!

I am definitely going to see if I can pick up some more of the collection, and I might even see if I can purchase some more mini's as they are the cutest!

Charlotte Tilbury | Filmstar Bronze & Glow

When in London I brought a couple of pieces, one being my long lusted after Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow Palette. I've wanted this for so long but have always been wary because it is certainly not an attractive price!

The packaging is absolutely beautiful, with rose gold, a lot of people have commented that it holds fingerprint smudges, but I don't actually find this! In terms of the product itself, the colour is really buildable, which makes it perfect for all skin tones, and the highlight works amazingly on my skin! In order to apply this, I use a Real Techniques Expert Face Brush for the contour, and a clean Elizabeth Arden Blush Brush for the highlighter!

This product has been an absolute staple in my everyday look since I've had it, and most days I've found it works so nicely on its own that I don't actually apply a blusher, which is unusual for me!

I would highly recommend trying to pick this one up, and popping into a counter to get one, as you can get a make-over for £35 and the whole fee is redeemable, so you can have a whole new look created at the same time!

lots of love,
Jess xxx
