Debenhams Bra Fitting

When Debenhams got in contact about their Bra Fitting Campaign, I couldn't wait to get involved. Bra fitting is something that I don't believe is spoken about enough, it's something that some people deem very personal, but I think that a bra fitting is essential for every woman. I was invited to the Oxford Street store, and had the most wonderful experience with a lovely lady who put me completely at ease, measured me up, went to go and grab some bras in not only the size she thought, but a range, and then gave me the privacy to try each one on, but was on hand to come in and adjust each one, and give her professional opinion. I have always joked with my friends that I must have missed the boobs part of puberty, but I came away from this fitting discovering that I was actually underselling myself, and have since found a new found confidence in bras that compliment me.

Debenhams found that 8/10 women were wearing the incorrect size, which is quite shocking, I did not think that it would be anywhere near this high, are you wearing the correct size? They have come up with 5 ways that you can tell if your bra is the right fit for you!

1 - The centre of your bra should always be flat against your chest
2 - If wired, the wires should sit around the breast - not on it!
3 - The breast should be fully in the cups
4 - To check the backstrap, there should be enough space to fit two fingers
5 - There should be no indents in your shoulders from over tightening or lack of support!

Over the next few months I am teaming up with Debenhams to bring you some reviews of different bra's, and also give you the opportunity to win some for yourself! The first is coming up on Saturday so make sure you enter!

    The Girl on the Train

The Girl on the Train is one of the books that I have seen and heard the most about in a long time, I'd been meaning to pick it up for so long, and then on a pre-holiday book haul with the girls, I finally took it to the till, it was the first book I read on my holiday, and from the opening page I was gripped, I didn't want to put it down.

The narrative follows Rachel, who's life has drastically changed, she has gone from a happy marriage, to being a lonely alcoholic who has become obsessed with her previous life, the narrative then flips between Rachel, Megan & Anna.

I was on the edge of my seat through the entirety of the novel, I had to know what was going to happen next, and the twist at the end took me by complete surprise, I loved every second of reading this book, and was very excited when I saw a trailer for the upcoming film!!! Some may find it difficult to become so integrated into a fictional world, but this book breaks those boundaries, you want to solve the mystery, help the characters, and the only disappointment I found with this book, was that I wanted more, I wanted another novel, or for it to never end!

Have you read The Girl on the Train?

A Relaxing Afternoon with Ocean Loans

So, let's be honest, having a bit more money than usual helps us all out, it means we're less stressed, and means that we can treat ourselves to an otherwise rare luxury. When Ocean got in contact, and said they'd love to allow me to go and have a relaxing afternoon, I knew instantly what I was going to do, Morelli's ice-cream is something which Tom introduced me to, it used to be the brand of the ice-cream parlour in Harrods, but they've recently changed, and I was devastated. Now don't get me wrong, it is expensive, but it is so worth it. On my last trip to London I was strolling round Covent Garden and saw a permanent Morelli's cafe...

So when in London for my 21st, we couldn't not stop off for a Sundae, I went for a chocolate fudge concoction, and Tom changed one of their creations, and ended up with strawberry ice-cream, banana ice-cream, and fresh strawberries! With no indoor seating, it is definitely preferable on a warmer day, and we were incredibly lucky with the weather, so we sat on the tables, and let people wander past up gazing at our delicious looking Sundaes.

After we finished up our ice creams, or atleast attempted to, we had a stroll around Covent Garden, it's such a lovely place to have a relaxing afternoon, with performers and magicians on every corner, classical musicians serenading you as you're eating dinner, and loads of shops for you to spend all your money in! A trip into Chanel, and five minutes later I was leaving with a new lipstick and nail varnish.

How would you spend an afternoon if money wasn't an issue?
