Comfy and Stylish?

Patterned trousers have become one of my favourite things to wear at the moment, they are just as comfortable as your favourite pyjamas, but can still make your trip to town stylish? I'm in! This monochrome pair are one of my favourites, as they are so easy to pair with anything, as you can see I love pairing mine with a detailed top, and this one goes perfectly!

The Michael Kors Bargain

I have been on the hunt for  a coat that's practical for British weather, I was looking for something potentially waterproof, but still stylish, and after looking absolutely everywhere, we stumbled into TKMaxx the other day and Tom picked up this one, I instantly loved it, and when I saw that it was only £34 I was even happier - then I saw it was Michael Kors. I practically ran to the till with joy, and yesterday I was actually a bit glad that it rained mid July so I got the chance to wear it!

The grey colour ensures that it will go with absolutely everything I wear, and I love the fact that it has gold hardware, so matches my bag. As tested today it is waterproof, and I think is the perfect length as is flattering on the lower body!

I'll definitely be returning to TKMaxx to see if I can discover any other gems, have you ever found one?

A Night Out in Cornwall

I'm back in Salisbury and I'm having major holiday blues from a little break to Cornwall, so I thought I'd share with you a night we spent having a meal at a lovely local pub we found!

We drove past The Two Clomes on our first evening, and we actually ate there twice, the food was amazing, the service was really good and it had a generally friendly atmosphere. My favourite part was definitely the dessert where I had Chocolate Profiteroles both times with warm chocolate sauce... I would definitely recommend popping in if you are in the Newquay area!

A Trip to the Theatre

A few weeks back Thomas and I took a trip to the theatre and I wore this dress I picked up from Boohoo! When it first arrived I was unsure, but when I tried it on I fell in love, I find that it is super flattering, and I love the lace detail on the bottom of the dress.

The length is perfect as it is quite low on the top so having it just above the knee equals it out, and I love that it is really easy to dress up and down, as you can I have done with some brown sandals and bag!

My Summer Essentials

If you've seen Monday's post you'll know I'm away this week, and these bits are the things that were the first on my packing list!

Hair bows are my favourite way to make a ponytail more exciting, and I have gathered quite the collection... these two are my favourites, with the floral one being Cath Kidston and the Heart pattern being in the Topshop sale!

A Tangle Teezer is a girls best friend, especially on a beach when the wind has ruined your blowdry and your mane needs taming!

Hand accessory wise, I like to stay simple when on a beach etc as I worry about my jewellery, so I've been using the floral bracelet more and more and I think it is such a nice way to make your outfit instantly look that little bit more summery, and I've been pairing this with an Essie nail, I'm afraid the name has worn off but there is a similar shade on the counters now!

Roll on perfume oils are the easiest way to keep your scent updated throughout the day, and I was kindly sent these through - keep an eye out for a full review soon!

And last but definitely not least, what summer look would be complete without some Raybans? I picked these up when we went to Puerto Banus and I'm still in love, these are the limited edition foldable wayfarers and it's so handy that they fold up into the tiny little pouch, but when on they look like the  normal edition!

What are your holiday essentials?

Summer Lip Duo

As you would have seen here, when I picked up my Smashbox mascara, I took a trip to Southampton for the day, and decided to treat myself, well actually Thomas did - thank you! I initially wanted to grab two eyeshadows from MAC to complete my quad, but I could not choose, so when wondering past the lipstick stand BombShell just screamed out at me, don't get me wrong, it's definitely not a super bright shade, but it's my perfect shade!

BombShell is a frost finish and it a lovely pink shade, which isn't quite classed as nude, and looks so lovely for the summer months when you don't want something too out there, but you want some colour on the lips! After swatching I also asked if there was a matching Liner, and the assistant recommended Rosy Rim which as you can see from the swatches are almost identical shades!

I would definitely recommend swatching these shades next time you're wandering around a MAC counter!

Beach Trip

On Tuesday it was far too hot to spend the day not doing anything , and Thomas had the day off so we wandered down to Mudeford and spent the day at the beach! By the time we left I was far too hot and  couldn't cope with the heat - fair skin problems! - but we had a lovely day  and I thought I'd take you all along!

The Detailed Dress

The mini-heatwave this week has brought out all of my summer dresses, and my order from Pull & Bear arrived just in time! I love the detailing on this dress, and despite the colour it is very cool and the light material prevents you from getting too hot in the sun!
