LipGlam

Hello!

I have been reading so much about LipGlam* at the moment and I just couldn't wait to get my hands on one. On first impressions I thought it was just going to be a lipbalm, but it is infact so much more! On the website, they list the uses as

- lip balm
- dry skin relief
- soothing chafing and rashes
- eyebrow balm
- lip & mascara primer
- split end smoother
- cuticle ointment

This seems very similar to the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream, in terms of consistency, and the multiple uses, however I actually prefer LipGlam, it leaves such a lovely finish on the lips and I would happily go out with just this on my lips! However, one thing that it really annoying is that the tube is normally quite stiff/hard, and they advise you to submerge it in hot water for a minute, which makes the application so much easier, but it means that this is very inpractical when on the go, so this has been something that I've been using every morning and evening, and my 8 Hour Cream is popped in my handbag for when I'm out!

I would really recommend picking one of these up, especially if you're hesitant on whether to spend £26 on the Elizabeth Arden version!

*PR sample, but all views and opinions are my own.

A Day Out in London

Hello!

As you've seen over the past few days, I went up to London for the day, and I took lots of pictures so you could come along too!

Outfit -
Trousers; Primark
Top; F&F at Tesco
Shoes; Primark
Bag; H&M
Jacket; Topshop
Lipstick; Elizabeth Arden | Red Door Red

Of course I went into the Chanel store at Covent Garden, we actually had a Polaroid taken too, which has been put up on the board you can see above!

There is currently a Cinderella Exhibition in Leicester Square, it is free entry, and I can honestly say that it is one of the most magical experiences I have had, Cinderella is my all time favourite Disney film, and I loved seeing all of the props and costumes from the new film! I cannot wait to go see it now!

Both Cinderellas and the Fairy Godmothers dress have over 10,000 crystals on, and in total Swarovski have donated over 2.7 Million crystals to the Cinderella production, the two dresses are breathtaking!

The shoe was by far my favourite part, 6 pairs of shoes were made by Swarovski for the film, they cost £60,000 a pair.... Each shoe weighs just over 1KG, and they glisten and reflect the light just as I imagined as a child!

I picked up this gorgeous new Rouge Coco Chanel lipstick, and the formula is amazing, the colour is amazing, and I am just generally in love! This is the shade Cecile

I had a terrible experience at the Charlotte Tilbury Counter in Selfridges, but I had a redeemable purchase, so I picked up the lustworthy Bronze & Glow palette, I am in love with this product, just let down by the poor customer service!

I hope you've enjoyed seeing what I got up to, and keep your eyes peeled for reviews coming soon!

Bloggers Fashion Week Gifting Lounge

Hello!

As you saw yesterday, I attended Bloggers Fashion Week hosted by The Bloggers Hub, I was named a VIB meaning that I had priority in the gifting lounge but I didn't need my little card, because all of the brands were incredibly generous!

Slendertoxtea sponsored the event and gave us all a sample of their products, I can't wait to give these a go, especially as I'm off on holiday soon!

I have heard so much about Lip Glam and it was really nice to meet someone and have a conversatiojn and be taught all of the benefits of the product. It sounds incredibly similar to the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream so I cannot wait to make full use of this!

It was lovely to be able to pick up a few Umberto Giannini products, and I've also got some other haircare bits to try out so I will post a haircare routine coming up soon!

I love this little fob from Kease, it is designed to help you find your keys easier in your bag, and it actually clips over any pockets etc too, for me the main attraction is that it can hook on to any trousers etc, so I will be making full use of this when out jogging!

I could not believe my luck when I was given this! Magnitone were giving out £25 off vouchers to everyone, and a very lucky but sparse few were lucky enough to be gifted one on the spot, you had to pitch yourself, which is a lot harder than you'd believe, and the lovely bloggers infront of me were unfortunately turned down on the night, and I am still in disbelief that I was chosen! I cannot wait to do a full review of this!

I also met lots of other lovely companies, for example COMB which is an app you need! You take a picture of an outfit/item of clothing, upload it to the app and it will search its database of over 3 million products to find you the item or the nearest one!

Joe Brown is a company that I have heard a lot about but I have never actually seen any of their pieces, and I have fallen in love with a coat.....

I also spoke with Gossimar Wing who make beautiful jewellery, and I hope to work with them in the future, and also a lovely lady from Roots and Rituals, who offer hair oil treatments, and unfortunately they had run out of samples, but we are going to get in contact about a collaboration!

All of the people I met were so lovely, and I hope to work with some of them again in the future, I would just like to say a massive thank you for all of their generosity, and full reviews will be up in the next few weeks!

Look out tomorrow for a LONDON Day Out post!

Bloggers Fashion Week

Hello!

On Wednesday I was lucky enough to be invited to attend Bloggers Fashion Week hosted by The Bloggers Hub. I was named a VIB - Very Important Blogger, meaning that I had priority to the gifting lounge etc, and I came away with so much! There was a lot of people that attended, so I didn't manage to take many pictures, and I actually couldn't see almost all of the fashion show, but the pictures below are what I managed to take of the end of the Joe Brown walk!

This post is actually going to be spread over two days, with tomorrow's post consisting of the products I was kindly gifted by the brands that were there!

I would just like to say a huge thank you to Bloggers Love for inviting me along, and I'm really annoyed I couldn't attend the second evening too!

Keep an eye out for tomorrow's post on the brands that attended!

KIKO Clics Palette

Hello!

So, I forgot to take the pictures of todays sample so instead I thought I'd give you a quick review of a purchase I made recently from Kiko Cosmetics.

Whenever I'm in London I always pop in and this time their Clics system were all reduced to crazy prices so of course I had to pick some up, I created a pinky/nude trio and I even have a giveaway coming up soon because I made another purchase online for one of you to win!

L-R, 202, unnamed, 219

I love the packaging of these palettes, with the sleek black, and it also wipes clean too! The shadows themselves are really pigmented, and they blend together really well! The shadows themselves are around 3-4 times the size of the MAC equivalents, and normally cost £5.90 but like I said I paid £2.80 each and these are still on offer now!

If you are ever in London or somewhere with a Kiko I would definitely recommend popping in, and now I now how precise the online shades are to in person I will definitely be making a few more purchases!

Festival Place Event

Hello!

The other week I was invited by the lovely Naomi and also the team at Festival Place to attend an event at Giraffe, so after a bit of a shop around, I headed over where I met the lovely Alice, Tanya and Jessica. There was food and drink available whilst we had the chance to get to know the other bloggers there, and it was also really good to have a chat with Naomi and Sarah and the others that work at Festival Place.

The event was really interesting and was lead by a chat from Melissa Murrell, who is a personal stylist, we each worked out what we thought our body shape was and how we could use clothing to help us gain that magical Hour Glass figure. It was really refreshing to have a chat with an expert and get some advice that I will definitely be putting into practice! We came to the conclusion that I have a Rectangular or Boyish shape, which means that I need to be working on bringing in the waist, and making sure that whatever I do to either my upper or lower body, I am evening out on the other!

I didn't actually manage to get any quality pictures of Melissa talking or showing us examples, but head over to Alice's blog in particular for good pictures! You can also see Melissa's website here - www.stylingbymelissamurrell.co.uk

When it was time to leave, we were given two amazing goody bags, one was a general Festival Place one, with items from LUSH, Costa, Hotel Chocolat etc, and the other was specifically from Shear Beauty which is a shop within Festival Place, this included a hair dryer, straightners, Lord & Berry products, shampoo, the list goes on!

I'd like to say a massive thank you to Naomi and those at Festival Place for putting together such a lovely event, for all of the brands that contributed to the amazing goody bags we managed to take home, and also to the girls for a lovely afternoon!

Haul!

Hello!

Last week I needed to pick up a new foundation and also a new eyebrow product, which combined with a 3 for 2 offer on Bourjois and Maybelline may have resulted in 6 things coming home with me. I actually really enjoyed my trip to Boots and having a leisurely browse and being able to fully look at the products before choosing! I will definitely be doing some full reviews of these products too!

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation || 51 - Vanille Clair
This is the first time that I have actually seen this foundation in my shade and I am super excited to get using this!

Maybelline Brow Drama || Dark Blond
After hearing so many people constantly raving about this I had to pick it up, the brush is so intriguing and I used this one earlier and it leaves my brows looking amazing!!

Maybelline Super Stay 24hr Waterproof Powder || 10 - Ivory
Due to the 3 for 2 I needed to find a powder in Maybelline, and I am in love with this one, it's slightly more than I normally pay for my Rimmel ones, but it is amazingly soft and it really smoothes the skin without leaving a cakey finish!

Maybelline Lash Sensational || Black
I have seen lots of people going on about this one and I don't have a Maybelline masacara in my collection, and on first impressions it is one of the best I have found on the high street!

Bourjois So Laque Glossy || Indispen-sable
I loved this at first sight, but after a quick application I'm not sure, I'll give this another good when I've got more time and see how I get on with it!

Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover
These pots have taken the nail world by storm, and I finally gave in, and it works amazingly, this is one of my new staples, and it's also perfect for all the times I apply my nail varnish on the train!

So there we are, I will be sure to either do a full review of these products or include them in a look etc!

lots of love,
Jess xxx
