Aussie Dry Shampoo

Hey guys!

When you're reading this I'll be in London! Yaaaaaay! I'm seeing Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway Live tonight, after a day filled of shopping obviously! Expect a haul soon guys ;)

I've never been a massive fan of Dry Shampoo, after past experiences of the grey residue and it making my hair look greasy, but after popping into boots to get a drink for work, I saw the new release from Aussie. I love Aussie and am a massive fan of their shampoo's, so thought, well it's on offer, so I'll take the risk, and I'm glad I did!

It can make even 2 day old hair look freshly washed, as I found out after a very very late wake up for work- oops! It also adds texture and volume to my hair so I actually use this most days, even immediately after washing, sounds weird? Give it a go! I'm almost at the end of my can now; queue the 'awwwww' and at £4.99 a can, I think I'll give a couple of others a chance, but it is highly likely that I will return to this one!

I use the one especially for Coloured Hair, as I like to ensure that my hair is getting enough nourishment after being coloured in whatever way possible, but there are lots of different variations so choose the one that applies to you!

This is £4.99 and is available here

Thank you for reading, and I hope you're having a lovely weekend!

Porefessional vs That Gal

                                                       Hello!!

Two in a row? Is this becoming a Benefit overload? As if there is such a thing!!!

Today, it's bene vs bene, in the standoff between the POREfessional and that gal.

Both of these deluxe samples I received as a gift for winning a competition to spend the evening at Gabbi's Head - see post here

Porefessional

I never thought that I would think that spending £23.50 on a primer whilst on a student budget would be acceptable, but OH MY I NEED IT.

It comes out of the tube and looks almost like a mousse, and has quite a dark colour in comparison to my skin, but when blended in this quickly disappears and leaves absolutely flawless skin behind. On the tube it claims to 'minimize the appearance of pores' and that is the understatement of the year! It completely erases all pores, and my foundation just glides on afterwards.

that gal

Again, another round of applause for all those at benetowers is due! This is such a lovely product, on the tube it states that it is a 'brightening face primer' and it sticks to its word.

This comes out of the tube as a salmon-y pink, and the texture is similar to that of a watery moisturiser, but when blended this leaves the skin feeling super soft, and also minimizes pores as a bonus! This definitely leaves my skin looking a lot healthier and I think that this is perfect for the summer months when you want to look really bright.

(This picture makes the porefessional look like a cream texture but it's not)

& the winner is.....

POREfessional!!!

My personal winner is the POREfessional, because it leaves my skin so flawless and it works really well with my current foundation and everyday make-up, but I would 100% recommend everyone to try out that gal because I think that I will buy this as it starts getting warmer next year!

I hope you've liked today's post guys, and I hope I've inspired you to go and try these out.

They're Real Mascara & Liner

Hey guys!

I know that over the past few months I have slacked massively on the posts, but from now on, there will be a regular posting schedule! Tuesdays, Thursdays & Sundays. I might throw one in on a Friday, depending on if I'm busy!! I've had such a hectic few months and I'm so grateful for you all sticking with it and I'm so excited for you to see the posts  I've got planned!

Today I'm talking about two relatively new products into my make-up collection, and they instantly gained a permanent place there that's for sure!

Benefit They're Real Mascara

I've had sample sizes of this for so long that when it popped up on Cohorted I just had to buy it! First things first - the packaging. Oh my, such a beautiful change from either the garish brights in the drug store or the classic but somewhat tiresome Black from the high end favourites. The metallic finish is more than easy on the eye, and the shape of the handle etc makes it sit really easily in your hand.

The wand is one that I constantly had struggles with in sample size, but that problem has long disappeared in the full size! It really helps to give volume, length and curl to the lashes, and doing so without any clumpiness and smudges above and below lashes are a no go with this one!!

I absolutely love this mascara, equally as much as I do with Sublime De Chanel, and this will be an everyday essential for as long as it's sold!

This is £19.50 and is available here

Benefit They're Real Push-up Liner

I was a self confessed eyeliner avoider, I couldn't apply it, it always went wrong, and instead, I improvised with a black eyeshadow and an eyeliner brush and I got away with it, but then, one Monday evening, I found myself back on Cohorted, purchasing this. I had used a tester that the lovely benebabes at Gabbi's Head  had given me, but I still wasn't completely convinced.

I don't know what those girls did at Benefit, but they deserve so many medals for creating such an amazing product! It is so easy to use, and apply, and unlike some others, I haven't experienced the product drying up at all, I guess I'm the only one using it properly? Because this is my new favourite, and no more do I have to rush out after wasting time perfecting precise eyeshadow liner!

Girls, if you're unsure, then pop to your nearest Benefit counter and ask to have a go, you will not regret it!

This is £18.50 and is available here

So there we are lovelies, keep your eyes peeled for a few hauls coming, as I'm waiting on two deliveries, oops!!

August Glossybox

Hello!!!

Sorry it's been a while! I've been off to Alton Towers with my best friend this week, and then this put me off for the whole week! But I'm back, and to make me feel better again, my Glossybox arrived!!!

This month was the celebration of Three years of Global Glossybox, and I think the packaging was amazing! The box itself had also changed slightly, with it being a very straight box, withno glossy effect on, and I think this gave such a nice professional finish!

Lalique L'Amour

When I picked this out first my heart sank... yet another perfume sample! Then two things happened, I realised it was an extra item - thanks Team Glossy! & then I took a sniff, it is such a gorgeous scent! If it wasn't for the huge cost I would be buying this soon!

This is £67 for 50ml and is available here

Philip Kingsley Elasticizer

I'm on the fence about this item at the moment... it is a pre-shampoo treatment to restore elasticity and bounce in your hair, the one thing swaying my mind is the fact that it was created specifically for AUdrey Hepburn. I will give this a go and post a review after I've given it a decent go!

This starts at  £15 and is available here

Yves Rocher Pink Nail Polish - Rose

This is the cutest little bottle! It's a lovely natural colour that is perfect for a subtle look, the size also makes it very handy to pop in your make up bag for last minute emergencies!

This is £3.60 and is available here

Figs & Rouge Mini Hand Cream - Mango & Mandarin

I have so many hand creams now! I received one from Lush, one from The Body Shop, and now this one, but, hand creams are by far my winter essential, as they get so dry and painful! This one smells so good! I would definitely recommend this to anyone needing a hand cream but wanting a fruitier scent!

This is £6.95 and is available here

Essence Longlasting Lipstick - 07 Natural Beauty

After reading so much about Essence through other bloggers, I was so happy when this came in my box!! It is such a gorgeous shade that is a lovely natural colour but bright enough to look like you have it on!

This is just £2.29 and is available here

Kryolan for Glossybox - Highlighter Cashmere

When I first picked this out I assumed it was an eyeshadow! But after seeing that it has been specifically designed for Glossybox, I'm so excited to use it! I didn't get a chance this morning after having a late wake up call - oops! But I'm excited to give this a go and see if it can beat Benefit's High Beam to be the first full size highlighter in my collection!

This is £12.95 and is available here

Overall, I loved this months box! Recently I've been contemplating cancelling either Glossybox or Birchbox, and right now Glossybox is the one to stay!!

Also, how cute is the background?! It's a new top I purchased from the Jack Wills sale!!

Coming Soon - August Birchbox, Summer Make-up.

Massive PS!! I've just hit 4000 views, and when I hit 5000 I will be doing a giveaway! So please get sharing and let me know and you'll have a better chance of winning!!!

Liz Earle - Hot Cloth Cleanser

Hey guys!

On a recent trip to Southampton with my best friend - hi Katie!! ;) we accidentally stumbled into the John Lewis beauty department, oops! We managed to resist the temptation of MAC and Chanel, but when we went past the massive display of the limited edition cleanser, we caved!

I've been wanting the Hot Cloth Cleanser for so long now, and then when I saw the limited edition I wanted it even more, it is Orange Flower & Chamomile scented, and it's so good! It is  not an overpowering scent, but it lingers on the skin which is lovely when you're falling asleep!

I've been trying this out for just over a week now, and my skin, especially around the eyes, feels really hydrated, and I feel so refreshed after using the muslin cloths, more so than I normally would using my standard cleansers.

Overall, I absolutely love this product, and I would 100% recommend it to you all, and if you can then try and pick it up in the limited edition scent!

This is £19.75 and comes with two Muslin Cloths.

Coming Soon - Make-Up Brushes & Benefit They're Real Mascara & Push Up Liner.

Urban Decay Naked Basics

Hey guys!

As I've mentioned in previous posts, I have found the best website in the world!! I've mentioned Cohorted before, and seriously, go visit it here now!!!

I recently managed to pick up the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette for around £17, meaning that I saved £5, this may not seem like a lot, but previously on Cohorted, I got the Naked 3 for £17.50, and I've got some amazing bargains in the past two weeks, but that's a secret until the post goes live ;).

I wanted the Naked Basics for ages, as it provides 6 easy shades that means that you have the perfect small selection for every day make-up, but can also transform it into evening wear too! Four of the shades are also Basics exclusives, meaning that you won't be able to find them in any other palette!

From Top to Bottom - Venus, Foxy, W.O.S, Naked 2, Faint & Crave.

As with the Naked 3, each shadow is amazingly pigmented, and I only use Crave for eyeliner purposes, as I'm not one for heavy eye  make-up, but it works perfectly, and also remains smudge free throughout the day, unless you smudge it when applied if that is the desired look!

Overall, I would definitely recommend this palette to anyone, whether starting out, or a full blown beauty junkie! If you are hesitant about paying quite a bit without having a proper look first, then there are Urban Decay stands in some Debenhams etc, where you will get the chance to see them all in person!

I hope you've liked this short and sweet review, and I will be posting similar ones far more often for you all!
