Kiko Cosmetics

Hello!

On my recent trip to London for the week, I thought, well if I come across Kiko, I'll pop in, and then on my first day when I was having a wonder up Regent Street when it was still really early so there wasn't many people around, there it was! I actually popped in that afternoon, and then the following day too- oops!

However, I was very restrained and only picked up a few items which I just couldn't resist, especially as all of them were in the sale!!

Nail Varnishes

Oh my, these were just £2.50 each, and were only £4 originally, and they are such high quality! With just one layer the colour is completely opaque, but I always apply a second layer just to be safe. They leave a professional glossy finish, and even though I normally avoid those with a shimmer in, it looks lovely! The one on the left also has a pearl-like finish, which I really like too!

Left to Right - 478, 485 & 510

Rock Idol Lipstick

These are absolutely amazing! I instantly fell in love with these, and again, these were reduced to just £5 each down from £7.90, which I think is still a reasonable price considering the quality of them! I find them easier to handle as they are a lot thinner than others on the market such as the Clinique Chubby Sticks, and the lasting power is hours on end, even withstanding food and drink too! The one on the right does look quite bright, but when on the lips it is not too OTT, but if you wanted it brighter then this can be achieved through a build up of the product on the lip!!

Left to Right - 01 & 03

Before my visit, I was hesitant to make an online order without seeing the products and standards in person, but it is safe to say that it won't be long before you see a Kiko haul up! If you're around London, then definitely pop in as it is so cool, but there is a downstairs too, which is hidden - so don't miss that!!

I hope you enjoyed this post, and keep an eye out for some exciting reviews coming soon!!

July Birchbox

Hey guys!

This post is a bit delayed as I've been enjoying trying the products out, and this has also gone up with a July Glossybox, so please go check that out whilst your on my little corner of the internet! :)

This months theme was Sun, Sea & Sand, and I love all of the products I received this month.

Benefit - Porefessional

I've been running on testers of Porefessional for a while now, and this is an even bigger sample - yaaaaay! This has concreted my decision to purchase the Porefessional after I run out, as it's by far the best primer I have used, and it makes your skin so lovely to touch and makes your make up glide on after.

This is £24.50 and is available here

#

Balance Me - Wonder Eye Cream

I haven't got much use out of this so far, as I received a tester size of the Benefit one, but after a couple of days, you can see a difference in the hydration of the skin around the eyes,  and it really helps to reduce the appearance of dark circles.

This is £20 and is available here

Whish Three Wishes - Lavender Body Butter

This was my least favourite item this month, as I hate Lavender! So this instantly went to a new home with Tom's mum alongside the Carmex from my Glossybox. But if you want to purchase this then you can.

This is £14.50 and is available here

Models Own - Nail Varnish

I haven't had a chance to use this yet, as it takes me ages to apply similar ones as I don't like it when there is any bare nail showing, and it really annoys me! But I do really like this colour, but I don't think that I would wear this across all ten nails, instead I think a ring finger manicure would look better, with a very neutral blue shade maybe.

This is £6 and is available from here

Laqa & Co Sheer Lip Lube - Menatour

At first I thought this was leaving with the body butter, as I'm not a massive fan of a bright lip, but then thought of mixing a little bit of this with some vaseline, and it creates a nice more natural shade on the lip, this still may gain a new home, but for now it'll stay!

This is £14 and is available here

Nail File

I also received one of those cube nail file things, but unfortunately used it straight away before taking a picture - oopsie! But I don't know if this will come to much use, as I don't like the feeling of the file, but the other sides will come in very handy!

This isn't available on the website I'm afraid! :(

So there we are guys, that's what I received this month, and I hope you like it, and please go look at the July Glossybox post too!

July Glossybox

Hey guys!!!

Sorry it's a bit late, but a few weeks ago my Glossybox arrived, and now I've had the chance to try out the products and compare them to others I own, I've finally got the chance to write up about this months box!! I'm afraid I've lost my card telling me about the products, but I'll put what I can remember!

This months theme was American Legends I think, hence the amazing box, definitely one of my favourite designs!!

Color Club - Glossy Seal

At first I was a bit hesitant about this colour, but after trying it out, I love it! It has an amazing consistency, and an impressive lasting power. It gives a glossy finish to rival others, and the colour is so nice!

This is £8

Carmex Lip Balm

I was so excited when I received this as I've wanted to give Carmex a go for years now, so was heartbroken when I had a reaction to it!!! :( so this little pot was given a new home with Tom's Mum, where it will be used! :(

This is £2.69

Bellapierre Cosmetics - Mineral Lipstick

AHHHH! I love Bellapierre products, but due to the hefty price tag and a student budget I wait until Glossybox gives me a couple! This has become one of my favourite lipsticks in my collection now, it is amazing quality and gives a lovely finish.

This is £20

Nicka K New York - Perfecting Eyeshadow Primer

I have a couple similar to these in my collection, and it matches up to their quality, it makes my make up last all day, and stops any eyeshadow or eyeliner smudges, and unlike some, blends really well.

This is £4.99

Mary Kay - lash love mascara

I wasn't expecting much when I opened this, as I have so many mascaras now, but this was a pleasant suprise to the favourites list, it seperates the lashes really well and really opens up the eye.

This is £10

So that's what I received this month guys, I hope you like this post, and this will be going live with a July Birch Box, so please check that out whilst you're here, and keep your eyes peeled for some new exciting posts coming soon as I've been busy buying and reviewing for you all!

A night at Gabbi's Head

hello my lovelies!!

As I mentioned in my last post, I won a benefit competition to go to Gabbi's Head and meet the lovely Heather Watson! It was perfect timing as I was already in London training for my new job, and had nothing to do as I wasn't training until the Tuesday, so off I went.

The Benefit team could not have been better hosts if they tried, with complimentary drinks and food all evening, and I even treated myself to a brow treatment whilst I was there! Heather herself was lovely and it was so interesting to spend the evening with a professional Tennis player!

As it was national Chocolate day, Hotel Chocolat were also there, meaning that we got the chance to decorate our own slabs of chocolate, and keep them, and as we were VIP's of the evening, they even made us our own special cocktail which if I remember rightly contained the Chocolate bean or something like that!

At the end, Benefit were generous enough to give us some amazing freebies as you can see below, and I've tried a few out, and I can't wait to try the rest, so keep your eyes peeled for a post coming soon!!

I also had the opportunity to meet the lovely Meg from megsboutique and it was amazing to actually meet one of the bloggers that I read all the time, and she's so lovely too!

I would just like to thank the whole Benefit team for an amazing evening, and especially the lovely Nina who made me feel so comfortable and welcome!! If you have the chance then you HAVE to pop in, it's just off of Covent Garden, and it's been extended until August 9th!

June Birchbox

Hello lovelies!

As I mentioned a couple of posts back, I made a subscription to Birch box as well as my monthly Glossybox! After deliberating it for months on end, I finally made the decision, and even though I was hoping for a Beauty Blender, I'm equally as happy with the products that I did receive!

OPI Nail Lacquer -
I'm so sorry but I don't actually have it with me and I've forgotten the name of the shade!! :( But I absolutely love this! You get the cutest little sample size bottles, and I received such a gorgeous colour, and I can't wait to try this out in the Summer!

This is around £11.50 and is available here

Naobay natural & organic - Body Radiance Lotion
I haven't had the chance to try this out yet, but it smells lovely, and after a bit of internet research it sounds really good! I might post a mini review after I've had the chance to use this for a while!

This is £14 and is available here

Silk + Honey - Shea Butter Hair Mask
I currently use the Body Shop hair mask, so thought that I would finish that off before trying out a new one, and especially as this only comes as part of a set and you cannot purchase this product by itself, but when I do get round to giving it a go I'll let you know how I find it!

This is £55 for the set and is available here

Caudalie - Day Perfecting Fluid
I've just started using this so I can't  tell you my long term impression, but from the off your skin feels a lot more refreshed and hydrated, and I hope that this will continue as the weather improves too, as it holds an SPF of 15!

This is £38 and is available here

Benefit - they're Real Mascara
I love this mascara, but always put off buying the full size as I have off days where I absolutely hate the brush and it just doesn't go on right and blaaaaah, so I love it when I receive handy little deluxe mini's as then I don't feel too bad when I don't use it for a few days!

This is £19.50 and is available here

Flip Flop Keyring
One of the main factors that sets Birchbox apart from other Beauty boxes on the market is the inclusion of a lifestyle item! This month's theme of the box is around the globe, and this little flip flop fitted the bill! I lvoe this as it brings a flash of colour to your keys and it's just so cute!

So that's what I received in this months box, sorry for the delay on the post, it wont be long until I receive the next box now!

Thank you for reading,

Cornwall

Hello!!!

It's been so long since I've had the chance to properly post, but now I'm getting back into a routine! As you might know, last week I had a lovely week in Cornwall, so thought I would do a small post with a few of my favourite pictures of what we got up to!!

We stayed on a farm just outside of Looe, and the farm had the cutest little lambs ever, and I had the chance to bottle feed them!! There were also sheep, goats, chickens and a duck!

We went out for dinner every night, and we found the nicest little Italian in Padstow, which was my favourite meal of the week! It had views looking over the harbour, and the service and food was amazing.

We were so lucky with the weather all week, which allowed us to go exploring new areas every day, and the views were incredible! You wouldn't think that the picture below was only taken in Cornwall!

I had such an amazing week, and it was lovely to have a break just before I start my new job too!

An exciting week coming up -
Tomorrow, I'm off to London until Friday for training for my new job -  how exciting!!! I've also been lucky enough to win a competition with Benefit Cosmetics to spend the evening at their pop up pub Gabbi's Head with Heather Watson! So expect a blog post up this week about that, and I am going to try and catch up on lots of posts this week ready to post for you all, but I might not get round to doing too many as I will also be doing research and things for my job! But I'll get there so please bear with me!

Coming soon - June Birch Box, Gabbi's Head.

Thank you for reading, and I hope you're all having a lovely weekend!!
