March Favourites

Hey guys,

March is nearly over, and although it seems crazy that its basically April already, this month feels like it's gone on forever!! It's been really hard to choose my favourites this month, but I've managed to narrow it down to these, so I hope you enjoy!

I brought this lovely gloss during mine and Thomas' trip to London, and I haven't really used it until the last week or so, and now I absolutely love it!! It's such a lovely colour, and although it looks very pink when in the tube, it is more opaque on the lips, but still gives a pink shine, and unlike most, it is not sticky at all, meaning it is so wearable, and lasts!!

This is £10, or Four for £20, from Victoria's Secret

This is featured in a recent post - here, and although I've only just got it, this is definitely one of my new all time favourites! I struggle trying to find a moisturiser as most are too strong for my skin, but this is perfect!! It makes the skin so soft, and smells lovely, and it really helps improve your skin!

This is £12 from Neal's Yard

Candles

I'm obsessed with candles at the moment, they're just so relaxing!! I own far too many too. I always have candlelight baths, and then when I'm in my room at night I light some scented ones, as they're so lovely, and get me in the mood to sleep. This one I haven't actually burned yet, but one of my favourites is the Yankee - White Christmas, which was a present from Thomas.

This was a present so I don't know where it's from, sorry!

Ciate is one of my favourite nail brands, as they're such good quality, and the shades and bottle design is gorgeous!! This specific shade I received in my first ever glossybox- see related posts here. It's just so summery, and is perfect for the lovely warm weather that we're all hoping on!!

they are £9, and available at Ciate

Baking

I can't stop baking at the moment!! I made something nearly everyday last week, ranging from biscuits, to cupcakes, to banana muffins for Tom, and today, I made my first full sized cake!! It smells so heavenly, and I'm making even more cupcakes later for Uni tomorrow, home made cakes taste so much better than going to a shop!

So there are my March Favourites, it was so hard to pick, and I bet next month will be even harder, as I have such an exciting month!! I'm seeing my favourite band - Boyce Avenue on the 6th, and it's my birthday on the 28th!!

Please let me know anything you've loved this month, and follow me on bloglovin'

Lots of love, Jess xxx

Latest Beauty Bargains!

Hey guys,

Today I picked up some bargains when shopping, so I thought I'd share my purchases with you!

If you are on 02, and have priority moments then pop into your local branch of Neal's Yard, because you get this lovely moisturiser for absolutely free!! It leaves your skin just so soft, and it smells really nice and summery!

This is normally £12, and you can get it for free!!

Garnier - Micella Cleansing Water

I've read so many good reviews about this product that when I saw it on offer, I couldn't resist buying it. It removes all your make up without having to put too much pressure onto the skin, and also leaves the skin feeling very silky afterwards. It's a very large bottle, and claims to last for 200 washes, which is incredible!!

This is normally £4.99, but was on offer for £2.66!
(sorry, it's not on the tescos site, but I'm sure it'll be in your local branch!)

This product's packaging is really nie, it's basic, but tells you exactly what you need!! I've been looking for a nice BB Cream, but didn't want to pay too much in case I didn't like it, but this one is perfect!! It has a really good coverage, but feels really nice and light on your skin. On first appearances I thought it was going to be far too dark on my skin, but when actually on my face, it matches perfectly and blends well.

It's just £2.99 from £5.99!

So there we are guys, I would definitely recommend seeing if you could pick up these products, as they're so lovely, and you can save so much money!! There is also loads more on offer in Tescos, so pop into your local branch and see what you can find!! Pop any questions below, and don't forget to follow me on bloglovin'

Pound Shop Bargains!!

Hey guys,

Today, I popped into my local pound shop, with the intention of leaving with some baking powder, and as I walked past the beauty section I remembered a blog post I've recently read on the bargains people have picked up there, and I gave in, and definitely wasn't left disappointed!!

So here are the four gorgeous shades I picked up, as you can see, I chose one Rimmel, and three L'Oreal. I also spotted some Sinful Colour varnishes, but didn't see any shades I liked, so I will be checking in the near future!!

I love this shade, as it reminds me of the sea, with the shimmering blues. I think this is perfect for the summer, especially for holidays or days at the beach!! It looks lovely on too, because the colour is different depending on the angle you look at it from.

They don'y actually stock this shade anywhere, (well not that I've found) but they sell the same effect in Superdrug for £3.99, meaning a saving of £2.99!!

This shade is so bright and vibrant, but not overpowering. It again is the perfect summer shade, or even now, when the weather is still miserable, as it will bring a pop of colour to any outfit, and would work especially well with monochrome.

The cheapest you can find these is £4.99, meaning a saving of £3.99!!

This shade is just so gorgeous!! It's a really deep purple, and although it does take a couple of layers to achieve the coverage of the other two, it looks so nice when it's on!!

Again, the cheapest you can find it is £4.99, meaning a saving of £3.99!!

I think this is actually the favourite product that I picked up today, it's so summery, and right on trend with the orange lips; perfect for those who aren't as adventurous to wear an orange lipstick!! This will definitely be a summer staple.

Again, the cheapest you can find is £4.99, so that means a saving of £3.99!!

So there we are guys, these are the bargains that I managed to pick up in my local pound shop!! I would definitely recommend venturing in and checking out the beauty section, as you save yourself a lot of money!!

I hope you've liked my post today, and keep an eye out for a Liebster Award post in the next couple of days!!

March Glossybox

Hey bloggers!!

Sorry I havent posted in a while, I've been very busy with University assignments, and I've just returned from a lovely weekend away visiting my friend in Portsmouth! But my glossybox arrived last week, so I thought I'd give you another insight into it, and I have a few more posts lined up, for example a collaboration with the lovely Joanna Sprinkles!!

So here is my March Glossybox -

I don't usually like getting perfume samples as one of my items, but seeing as we get two of these for one item, and they smell nice I don't mind too much!! However, I doubt I will be going out to purchase these, as I have a very closed taste in perfumes, like I absolutely adore Marc Jacobs Daisy!

This is available from Debenhams for £47 for 75ml

Dove Hair Therapy - Intensive Repair 60 Second Treatment Shot

I was pleasantly suprised to find this lovely little Dove item in my box, I really enjoy little shot treatments like this, as it means you don't have to spend huge amounts on a big bottle and not use it again for months. I'm really excited to try this one out!

You can get this at any Superdrugs for £1.49

I was really excited when I saw on the website that we would receive one of these pots, as I've heard a lot about them. However, I would have preferred to receive a different colour, for example a friend received a really nice nudey shade, but I've discovered that I do like this shade, but I only apply a tiny bit as it is very bright and spreads widely, and I combine it with a clear gloss or balm, to give a subtle colour.

You can get this at Sleek MakeUP for £4.49

I absolutely love this product!! I received a lovely shimmery grey colour, and its just so gorgeous!! I am definitely going to be trying out some more of this range, and would definitely recommend it!!

You can get this at Bellapierre.co.uk for £12

I think this was my favourite this month, it smells absolutely divine and makes your skin so smooth and soft, and the scent lingers on your skin for ages!! This is very expensive though, as this is just a quarter of the full size, and even though this is a very generous sample, it would still work out at £9.

This is available from mitchellandpeach.com for £36

So there we are, that is what I received in my Glossybox this month, overall, I do like it, and the products I have gained, but I would say that it's not the best I've ever received, but definitely not the worst!!

Please pop any questions down below, and follow me on bloglovin', and I hope you've liked todays post!! :)

E.L.F Haul

Hi guys,

Last week I finally gave in and placed an order on E.L.F Cosmetics, it's so cheap, and I picked up some really brilliant pieces, so here are my purchases!

I love this product! It says that when you spray it on your face, it will hold your makeup all day, and you can use it as a top up throughout the day. I used this this morning, and it really has kept my make-up on all day, and it doesn't leave any moisture on your face either!!

I love this lip product so much, I had initially wanted a clinique one, but couldn't find a colour that I wanted and that suited me. This one perfectly matches what I had wanted, it is the same colour as my lips naturally, which is just what is needed for a nice neutral look!! Definitely worth the tiny price of £3.95.

I love this palette! You get 6 lovely colours for just £3.95, and they range from the moer neutral shades, to purples, and then blacks, which gives you two different versions of the smoky eye look! A more cool version, and then the traditional black. The colours are all very vibrant, so you only need the smallest amount on the brush!

I'm on the fence about this brush, but I wasn't expecting to use it very often anyway, as I don't normally have the need, but I thought for such a good price- £2.50, I might as well get it whilst I can. I personally believe that the lash side needs to be longer, as this makes it awkward when trying to use. But for such a good price you can't really moan.

I love this brush!! It is really good, due to its very short bristles, and at £1.95, I think that this is a makeup bag essential!!

I found it so hard to choose just one of these duo's, but I finally decided on these natural warm shades, and I'm so happy!! They're so lovely, and I definitely think that I'll be purchasing some more of the selection!! At £1.95 for two eyeshadows, you cannot resist the lovely range!

I brought this as I was intrigued by its shape and application, which is a very wide cylinder. I like this product, and it has a really high coverage, and perfectly matches my skin! At £1.95 this is such a steal!!

I love these products, I first discovered one in a Glossybox, and they are so so so useful!! It just removes any smudging/residue left from mascara/lipstick etc. It doesn't leave an odour afterwards either! 100% recommend this item, and it lasts ages, for just £3.95!!

Overall, I was really pleased with my order, however one negative thing was that at the time of my order if you spent over £20, you received a free gift in with your parcel, and I didnt :(. But I mentioned it to them and I think we're in the process of resolving this :).

I hope you liked my post, and please drop me a comment recommending any products you love, and follow me on bloglovin'

Brow Arch March

Hi guys,

today I participated in Benefit's Brow Arch March in aid of Look Good Feel Better. It was such an amazing day, and an incredibly worthy cause! So here is my experience of the day-

We started at Berkely Square, where upon arriving you were greeted by pink, friendly faces, and of course there were plenty of photo opportunites!!

After completing registration, we were given our complimentary tops, and numbers. The tops were so nice!! As you can see, the back was so sparkly!!

We were also given the start of our lovely freebies, starting off with this absolutely gorgeous make-up bag, and a handy little compact, and we were told to expect more as we completed the stages of the march. We were told to come wearing only a base of make-up, as they would make us glamorous along the route!!

Kara Tointon was the cover girl for the March, and was so lovely!! We were lucky enough to start the March with her, and do the majority with her too! If you have a look on the Benefit Twitter page, you'll see that I'm in all of the pictures of the start of the race!!

This photo was taken from their page!

First Check Point
The first check point was Marble Arch, it was so nice there, and being really silly I actually forgot to take a picture of the actual arch... but I got a picture with Kara here, so you can have that instead!

This was the first of our beauty items- They're Real Mascara. I love this mascara so much, and was so happy when I received it!! It really extends your lashes and opens your eyes so much!

Second Checkpoint-
Up next was the Wellington Arch, we did get slightly delayed though, after a quick picture opportunity outside Buckingham Palace, we just couldn't resist!

We also had to move as the Cavalry had to come through, I don't think they appreciated all of us stood there with a sneaky picture with them in the background... oops!!

The beauty item at the stop was Benetint, I hadn't previously used this item, but after using it quickly on our march, I really like it! It gives a really natural glow to your cheeks, but unfortunately I haven't tried it on my lips yet, as I was awaiting the next pit stop!!

Third Check Point
Up next was Admiralty Arch, it was so busy here as it is just on the corner by Trafalgar Square, but it was so lovely here, and the amazing band joined us to provide some entertainment too!!

This completed our beauty products, with the lovely addition of a lipgloss of your choice, they accidentally gave me and my mum two each!! And as my mum doesn't normally wear gloss, she let me have one of hers too! I've used Coralista before, and its lovely, and I was so happy to get Dandelion! They last for so long, but don't make your lips sticky like some do.

The Finish Line
To finish, we had to return to Berkely Square, and when we arrived we were all so relieved to have completed it, and we were also treated to a complimentary demonstration of their new brow product- Gimme Brow. I am definitely considering purchasing this product now, it really transforms your brows!!

We were also given a lovely tote bag to hold all of our goodies, and I was told to ensure I had a picture being an Arch Angel after my march-

Here you can see a clear picture of all of the lovely goodies I picked up! Look how cute the bottle of water is!

Overall, I've had the most amazing day, and I feel honoured that I could be part of such a lovely event that has raised so much money for a wonderful charity!! After my long train journey home, I'm definitely ready for bed now that's for sure!! But I am 100% going to do it again next year!

P.S don't forget that you can get a complimentary brow appointment at any Benefit Counter in a Debenhams throughout March when you make a donation to Look Good Feel Better. It's definitely worth it!

Thank you for reading, and please help out this wonderful cause, please drop me any questions or anything :).

Lots of love, Jess xxx

Boots Bargains

Hi everyone!! I've been resisting the temptation of having a look in the 3 for 2 sale in Boots, but today I gave in. oops... Here's what I brought -

Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder

I picked this up as my previous powder was running incredibly low, and cracked this morning. I've used this powder in the past, and it gives a really good coverage, and works really well with a big powder brush. I use the  Face and Body Brush - The Body Shop. The powder lasts all day, and eradicates all shine left from Foundation, but still leaving a natural look. I got the shade Transparent, and it is £3.99

Maybelline Colour Show Nail Varnish

This item was actually the one that I got free on the offer, I really wanted a nice nude shade, as I think they make your nails look longer, and are still really nice without bringing too much attention to your hands, it also means that you can completely avoid your nails clashing with your outfit! I got the shade Latte, which is absolutely perfect for what I wanted, and I haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but I will let you all know how I get along with it! You can get this for £2.99

Seventeen Cheek Stamp Blush

I was so intrigued by this item when I first came across it! It's a brand new item from Seventeen, and I personally haven't seen anything similar on the market. It's a tiny little pot, and the top  screws off, and underneath is a sponge, and the blush is held on the inside of the lid, so when you close the lid, the blush goes onto the sponge, and then you just dab it onto your cheeks, and you blend it with a brush/your fingers. I tried this out as soon as I got home, and I absolutely love it! I will post a full review when I've used it for a couple of weeks! I got it in the shade Stare-Struck, and this is just £4.99!!

So there we are guys! I hope you like my buys, and if you have any questions then please don't hesitate to ask! Also, I've decided to start linking the website where you can buy the products onto the page, so where it is mentioned,  you can click on it and it will take you to the product for the price I brought it at! I hope you find this useful!
